"Ugh, first the broken city, then the endless road, the overly rambunctious tavern, and now a marsh full of dead people."
Valdear shifted into his hand as he grabbed it and threw it to the ground in his hopelessness. Stepping and jumping on it a couple of times, he picked it back up and threw it over his shoulder, holding it by the cross guard. Pacing and stepping sure footed so as not to slip, his walk continued on.
"I seriously need to find a better way to trav--"
He saw her, someone else traveling these marshes. Excitement leaped into his body as he ran forward and screamed out, "HEY! Do you know where we are!"
In retrospect, running up to a women in the middle of a marsh filled with dead people was probably not the smartest thing to do at the time. I guess I'd been alone for so long wondering around that the idea of something other than a dead body to look at was something too good to pass up. Walking up with Valdear looking as if I was going to slash must have completely made the wrong impression...--The journals of Will Cross.
